Are We Allowed to Ask Questions About TRF Listings?

I wondered if we're allowed to post link and questions about watches for sale over in the classified section. I don't want to criticize listings or make accusations, I just want to get opinions of aftermarket parts in an otherwise gen watch.

Thanks for the info.

Why dont you email your question to the seller direct??

If you get a responce that is not what you like, do not buy.

That wasn't the point of my question. I'm not considering the watch at all, I wanted to get opinions of people other than the seller to learn some things. I also want to make sure I'm not stepping on toes by doing that.

Best to research and such through other postings and reading guides. Posting questions or directing attention away from the sale might annoy member trying to sell. Just my 2 cents

I have a rule of not posting in other people's sales thread, even if it is allowed (on other forums).

however, sometimes, it can be good, where members can share information regarding the watch.

In the past there have been posts here regarding listings here on TRF, consequently those listings were removed and/or challenged by the moderators.

My advise, is to be sure of your facts.

if not send the seller a pm, if you have no joy send another member a pm or a mod.

Bottom line is, if you see a counterfeit, report it, but be certain it is before going public....

You have a point there, and it's not my intent to mess with someone's sale.

I wish we could too, but in this case I think I wouldn't in the sales thread just because of the things I wanted to ask about that type of watch.

It's not a fake and I'm not calling it one. I just had some questions about modifications and was thinking to use the listed watch as the example.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Think I'll let discretion be the better part of valor and not link it in here.

It is not stepping on toes but its what I call pissing on somebodies watch for sale by somebody who has no interest in buying it and is not sure himself on whats real or aftermarket. If you think there is fraud by the seller by all means post it here. There are many here that are not selfish and will help answer your questions via pm.We all started not knowing anything about watches ourselves.

Like I said, no fraud. Nothing to report and no pissing on anyone's watch either. The seller is completely honest about the watch as far as I can tell and that's not the issue or what my questions were about. I can find an example on ebay to ask the same questions, it just may take some looking.

If it's a concern of fraud, post here in the watchout section, or PM a Moderator...
If it's a simple question about modifications etc, find another similar watch, and ask the questions on the General Discussion area...
