Air King Dial ?s
Hey guys,
Full Rolex Newbie here. I was lucky enough to be given a smooth bezel S/S Air King in February of 2000. Since then I have enjoyed the watch a ton, having it services along the way about 4 years ago or so. The dial has considerable discoloration between the "sticks" and I have been looking into various dial and bezel combos with the aim to bring it back into as new condition (possibly with a switch to fluted bezel). I have been looking at dials with diamond hour indicators and have seen some really nice examples on a few Ebay vendor's sites. I have some concerns about my warranty though. Should I stay away from aftermarket dials? If so, what is the best place to source Rolex replacement dials and what sort of prices are we talking about? For reference, I have been quoted $695 for an aftermarket replacement diamond dial (11 diamonds) with service included. Is this in the ballpark? Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
