Ceramic but what's in a Name?
Just a thought but ever wonder why Ceramic stuck as the name for the new revised bezels for the GMT and Subs and now upcoming Daytonas? It is really a misnomer and causes some unnecessary confusion. Some folks expressing concern that the Sub C will crack like a ceramic dish! It is afterall a Rolex divers watch! I have had mine for a year now and it is very durable. On it's website we know Rolex calls the new and improved amazing bezel Cerachrome. I think the reason a lot of folks were, and some still are, concerned about the durability of the "C" bezel is because they think it's ceramic just like a pottery piece. It is so much more than that. It is Cerachrome and a much involved process that we all refer to as Ceramic. rolex explains it very well on the website. Maybe we should refer to it its true name CERACHROME!
