New Rolex Owner
Hi everyone.
Just bought a new GMT Master II. Bi metal. Have been researching for some time but decided to take the plunge this week. Never had a Rolex before and delighted with my new purchase, despite the price!!! Quick pic: |

Two tones are value for money if you buy them used.SS ones do command good resale tho but if TTs floats your boat, why not?

Wasn't planning on buying for resale. This is more of a personal thing. I'll keep it for years and in the end it will go to one of my kids...
On the other hand, I much preferred the look of the TT compared to the SS, although the SS is less 'blingy'. And I love the look and feel of gold on my wrist. |

Thanks for the welcome everyone. This is my first Rolex but probably not my last but I'll give it a while before buying anything else. I'll wear it every day as there is no point in keeping it in a box. For something more 'dressy' I'll probably go for a Patek of some kind next year...

Great watch! When it costs you relatively a lot, you'll also appreciate it relatively more, IMO
