They had one at the office of a previous employer ... very bad for my health ... I was on a 10/day average ....

They are pretty good.

Can you make a cup of regular coffee with these units or just expresso/cappuccino type drinks?

I have the Lattissima and absolutely love it. Like all Nespresso machines, its capable of a crema that most barista's could only dream about. Fortunately, I live 2 blocks from the SoHo boutique so I never run out of capsules.

For those that don't think its capable of making a good espresso because its not fresh ground haven't tried it. Fresh ground means close to nothing. Sure the beans and roast are important but espresso is about temperature and pressure that relies on the machine and the operator.

Illy and Nespresso have the right machine and remove the chance of user error without sacrificing the finished product.

We've had the Nespresso for a couple of months. Love it. Just ran out of capsules and went through withdrawal for a day before my wife picked up some more.

That is one nice coffee maker!

I live in a condo so counter space is at a premium and the wife does not drink coffee. So the Nespresso is as big as I will ever have.

With all due respect, to each his own.
BTW, the Jura brews at 25 bars pressure, and since it grinds the beans and tamps the ground coffee immediately before brewing, it's hard to beat.

If I had the room, I would get one of the real coffee makers, from Mr. Cap. I have a friend that has one, she loves it costs like 3-5K

I've had the Nespresso Citiz machine for about a year and a half now and love it. Very sharp looking, very small footprint, fun to use, and I would say that it makes espresso as good or better than 75 percent of the coffee houses that I go to (or used to go to). And I love the Nespresso commercials with George Clooney!

The one you pictured produces 18 bars, not 25 but thats all you need.

The Nespresso machine my wife bought for me has spoilt me for most other coffees.

I've tried to tell my machine to pull me ristretto's but it simply refuses.

In English it works fine but who wants to drink English espresso.

Man, I so need one but they don't sell them (machines or capsules) in Indonesia yet. Will likely have to ask my mum for one for my birthday.

What's the best machine to get?

I have one - the Aeroccino also.

Great coffee, but they can have issues. Still the best capsule coffee. Period.

i have a Nespresso machine for about 2 years.
it is quick and convenient and the crema (that brownish layer that forms on top of the coffee) is perfect.

the espresso is mediocre at best.

different flavors, aren't that different

the machine was a gift from some house guests of mine.... i feel happy to use it because it reminds me of friends, but the coffee just isn't that good.

ps a friend was importing a smaller italian company pod machine and it was amazing (made me realize how far off the mark the nespresso was)... the support wasn't available enough to make it viable at this time... the name slips my mind but if you would like to know pm me and ill contact him.
