Check this amazing explorer out!
Was Idling away some time on the net this evening and I came upon this on Ebay!!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROLEX-EXPLORER...QQcmdZViewItem Seems to be a good seller and the watch is amazing, do vintage rolexes really command such high prices! This seller even offers personal delivery in the UK From what I can see he looks to be a good seller, anyone had experience of him? I can't get over the condition of the watch, fresh from RSC! What an amazing job they do! |

Yeh. I thought is was pretty special and the dealer looks to be great judging from the feedback. I'm guessing its somewhere in the region of US$20,000. Is that an apropriate figure for something so special. Your Explorer looks great BTW! |

Yes, it appears to be in great shape, BUT for that price I want the original Chronometer Certificate, boxes etc.
John. PS - I knew I should have bought these things 18-24 months ago. |

Nice watch, but unless it is the exact same watch Steve McQueen actually wore in the filming of the towering inferno, then it is way overpriced.

I always thought the explorer 2 looked just like an accutron! 20k for this watch must be a true mushroom situation.

This watch is absolutely flappergastingly stunning! And I noted that on my personal eBay site, "shipping to Denmark is FREE!!!" The price is not that bad, either! I wish I could buy it now! I don't know the seller, but you are right: This offer FOR ONCE looks kosher!

That's a beautifull example of a 1655. Indeed select vintage pieces are going through the roof!
The 1655 is a "grail" to many collectors are pricing on fine examples reflect that. Man, I wish I had known what was comming back in the day!! |

Always been my favourite vintage Rolex. I have always wanted one.
