Why is this forum so dead with such a huge Panerai following
In comparison to the rolex forum?

It is a Rolex forum after all. Seems natural to me that a sub forum for another brand would be slower.

Probably because the majority of folks here are Rolex fans? The presume the hardcore risti fans are in the 'other' forum?

It has been slower than normal, but with any luck it'll pick up again soon.

to be frank - in addition to the terrible format, i also find the content there quite lacking (though topics are buried fairly quickly due to the poor message board layout). there are far too many birthday posts, GTG posts, off topic, etc for me personally. i also don't understand why it's so highly moderated even though it's not an 'official' Panerai site - you can't discuss pricing and god forbid if you mention a strapmaker by name. much prefer the TRF community |

Thanks guys! Just love to see new unboxings, etc., and nothing has really been happening lately!

Other than recession, I think that's also due to the fact that we haven't been witnessing much new shipments other than the 390 lately... now everyone's just waiting for the rest of the 2011 models to be shipped.

Since it's dead....I got a question.
Does anyone know if they sell any Panerai watches in the Dubai airport? I didn't feel the need to start a thread about it. |

there's just a lot more rolex owners out there, and this isn't the most "popular" PAM site (though i only choose to post here for reasons hinted above).....
i dunno, i think it's a pretty active sub-forum with a pretty loyal and welcoming crew. then again, i've only been checking this sub-forum for about six months, so, maybe it was busier before? is that your point? |

the 390s are trickling out as I type... but I think its a pretty busy sub-forum and remember our very own Anthony broke the 390 story!

It is a Rolex forum. There is nothing to like about a Panerai. I'd much rather have a Fortis, Omega, Zenith.

I've called and they are annoyed with me. I guess I'm just a mid-west chump to them.
