With the small amount of miles (I assume) you're going to put on it I think the price of gas would be the least of your worries.

roughly 3x what you're paying at the moment a gallon (give or take)

I guess you like that so called "patina" on old watches too. I like my stuff new and shiny looking good. Looks like it needs a $50k rest job to me...

Fuel in the USA is not that cheap anymore...... When I was living there back in the early '00s 20 bucks of mid grade stuff in my PT Cruiser used to get me a long way. Now when I vacation there I make myself sure to book an hybrid all the time, that's the only way to go if you want to stretch that mileage a bit.
Cool oldies car anyway, I wish I could have a Chevy El Camino, any year. Not that old but getting there quick

It's always interesting when Brits comment on how cheap gas is here in the USA. We think it's expensive since most of us can remember when it was under $1 a gallon as late as the 1990s.

Isn't gas under $1 in places like South America and the Persian Gulf?

Well she's not a beauty but thanks for saying so.
She's currently all apart and will get the mild modernization with new engine, trans and rear axle.

Bill, that truck is a beauty.

Hey, Chad - I totally understand the attraction. How cool you would look driving around the UK in that truck! I believe that's a Ford Falcon Ranchero sitting right behind it.

And one more opportunity to wear out you guys with another pic... also a Ford Falcon.
