Hi guys! I'm new to the forum and was wondering what you think of these watches. They look to be in great condition, but something seems off. Help my friend and I decide whether these are real or fake. The comex is "claimed" to be the Comex worn by Theo Mavrostomos on his record setting dive. And the other a white gold 116619 sub.

Hmm.. I know nothing about the Comex Rolex's. But that last Submariner is defiantly a fake. The LEC (Laser Etched Crown) at the 6 o clock is showing very easily.

the yellow gold one looks fake to me,arrows are way too bulky

It would be nice if there was a filter that would only let you ask these questions only if you have either a certain number of posts or been a member for some time period

What is the "story" behind the two Folex watches?..The "comex" is a fake, you can tell because the yellow "patina" among other things is too perfect. They try to duplicate that material but if it was a real 1680 the patina wouldnt be as consistant as the picture you provided is. That watch is supposed to be 30+ years old..

The blue sub is really bad. The etched "coronet" or crown should not be that visable with the nakes eye. Like Adam said. Also the pearl on the bezel is wrong.

IMO both are fake...sorry

Not trying to single you out but this seems to be the norm.... Along with I'm 18 19 20 etc and have 20K 30K etc what should I buy...

I agree that they are 100% fake. My friend kept boasting how they were real. So I wanted some feedback from my fellow rolex enthusiasts to verify that they were replicas.

What's the harm in a new person asking if a watch is real or fake? Does it hurt anyone else? A couple of my first threads in here were asking if a 20 years T-Bird was a Rolex of a Folex. Luckily for me, the people who answered were kind enough to look it over for me and it turned out to be real.

The owner of these fakes is friends with my friend. The guy's delusional, pathetic, and a pathological liar. I knew these were all fake the second I saw them, but my friend didn't. So I posted these on here to have you all on my side to show my friend that they are, in fact, replicas. They're not for sale. The delusional guy sent these pictures to my friend with details about them, bragging how he paid big $ for them.
