My local watch repair guy can buy wholesale from an AD and can get me a new TT Yachtmaster with gray face for $7100 no tax -- retail is $8675. Is this a fair price, or should I continue to look?

Yes, it would be brand new in box. My old Tag has finally died after 15 years, and I am ready to replace it. After looking extensively, I finally decided on the Yachtmaster. I do, however, want to make sure I get a good deal. Thanks to all for your comments and input. It's greatly appreciated!
