Seeking opinions on watch for wife (details inside!)

Looking on feedback on an everyday beater type watch I could get for my wife. Something I could possibly throw a Nato on for her. I prefer it not be expensive like a Rolex (something $100-1500?), fairly sporty, chunky good size (for a women) maybe in the 32-40mm size. Without being familiar with their watches, I was originally thinking something along the lines of a UBoat for her, but I checked the website and all of those watches seem to be huge (40+mm) and maybe too busy, although I didn't rule them out.

Just for the record, I've already bought her a mother of pearl diamond dialed datejust that she wears daily, but I'd prefer that she have something a little sportier for kicking around so it's a little more special when she puts her Rolex on for work and events.

I'm not an expert, so I probably don't know a lot of good brands out there. So please feel free to enlighten me. I'm just looking for a bunch of different material to sort through until I find one that is "her".

Thanks in advance!
