Submariner band pin question
I have bent the pin that attaches the band of my Sub to the end that is closest to the crown emblem on the clasp. I took this to local jewelers today and toled that it wasnt a spring pin, but possibly a buckle pin or something like that. I was told that it was specific to the Rolex and that a spring pin wouldnt work. Can anyone tell me what this pin is called, and where I might find one?

The piece you are referring to is a pin with a rivet punched onto the end. I doubt you can find a Rolex one as they use a press to attach these pins. You have to grind it off to access the pin.
From Rikki one of our members "The way it's done at Rolex is the steel rod that goes through the parts to be riveted is just a straight s/s pin and they use a pneumatic riveter with the proper round end piece to make the rivet and mushroom the pin. If you do not have one of these pneumatic hand riveters you will no t be able to do it properly without bending or warping the pin. Just a word of warning. Rikki " This thread will help you.
