Got my sub today... but it wont be mine until April!

My wife and I went down and got my Sub-C today!!!

A link either side was taken out and it seamed to fit like a glove (well not quite a glove, more like a wonderful watch)!

I got a little look inside the box, wore the watch for a minuet or two then it was paid for, wrapped and then taken away by my wife to be put away until my birthday next April

Oh well, at least I know I'm going to have an AMAZING birthday gift next year!

Only thing to do now is keep myself occupied on this forum for the next 6 months

Man, that will be a killer wait! But, oh boy, when April comes...
Where abouts in Kent did you buy, or did you go 'up town'?

Congrats.. That's a long wait. No chance I could wait that long. I've gone crazy whilst one of my Breitlings has been away getting fixed, and that's only been 5 weeks!

Am I the only one who totally disagree with that? Geez man! I mean you spoiled all the surprise and stuff! Your wife should trade that Sub for a nice Timex instead, now THAT would be a surprise!

Congratulations on that purchase and good luck for that long waiting period!

Find out where she hid it - by stealth.

No, actually, don't.

Look forward to it. You lucky devil. Congrats (in advance)

Lovely shop to buy it from too.

Congrats BUT, she has to let you have it now surely. Your wasting valuable wrist time. Spoil her, buy her flowers ANYTHING. Just get her to give you the watch early!! I wouldn't be able to wait!

No offense but that's just Nuts if you ask me. No way I'd buy a watch and let it sit 6 months. Congrats anyway.

I would also explain about the 25% of warranty time that will be wasted.

Good things come to those that wait... patience is a virtue etc etc.

Just to explain, the early purchase is so as to avoid any up coming price rises... bound to be at least one before April!

Balderdash H.

As someone has pointed out, you're gonna lose a quarter of the warranty. I see no reason why your wife can't let you have it now mate. Ever heard of an early birthday present?

I say take a pair of her favorite shoes hostage and offer a 'prison swap' in about 30 days. That might do the trick.

Whatever you have to tell yourself to make it through knowing your watch is sitting in a closet...

You, of course, spied on her to see where she hid it, right? Right?

And congrats. Can't go wrong with a sub.

You should consider with-holding sex until she caves in and gives you the sub back!
