i was just curious about how prices are set for the used rolex market? is there a price list? or do people go by supply and demand? i tried to google it but the only thing that comes up are used vendors. Im in the market for another rolex not sure what kind yet. I have been looking on the for sale threads and most prices are within range of similar items. Just wondering for when the time comes to pick up another rolex i know where the prices should be.

That question is quite open..
A watch, or just about anything is worth what someone is willing to give for it.
There are Rolex models (R-A) that sole for more than (R-B). After a few years (R-B) might be worth more than (R-A) just because it is popular.
Keep watching the for sale section and also not ones that have been sold.. This might give you some idea..

Market economics dictate the pricing. Supply and demand. High demand equals higher prices. Low demand equals more discounting on preowned pieces. Carefully watch the forums and you will see a pricing pattern on where the market is on a particular model. Always remember if price is too good to be true....it usually is.

If you look around and watch prices enough you'll be able to figure out what watch is selling for what. BUY THE SELLER, and always look for the best example in the best condition when buying used.

Right now supply and demand coupled with the numerous price increases on new watches have driven the price of used watches up. There is no set price for used watches but the market dictates the asking price. On here most prices are indicative of what the actual value of a used watch is.
