Japanese movement good, Assembled in China BAD
Not really as China now produce some very fine mechanical movements. And many of todays Tourbillons are made in China that are put into many high end watches.I have a special regard for the Seagull ST19 manual wind chronograph. It was running plus 7 seconds a day out of the box, with a bit of fine regulation now well inside the COSC spec. And 6 years later still running fine and keeping excellent time cost of movement less than $60.So China today makes some very mediocre products and some excellent products much like anywhere else in this world today.
