Would you..
If you are trying to sell a watch but do not have the papers. Would you go to a jeweler and have them open the watch to take pictures of the inside to be able to prove to others it is an authentic watch? Alot of people want to have it opened, but I would rather have it opened 1 time only and pictures taken. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance..

That sounds like an excellent idea. Then again, future buyers would insist on opening the case to confirm? My 2 cents.

No, but then I don't sell my watches on E-bay either. It is however a good idea to crack the back for pics when it's a vintage piece to show associated wear and service/repair markings on the caseback. |

When I bought my sub we started the negotiations on the understanding that if the watch, the price, the paperwork, etc, was all in order then the last thing to happen would be the opening of the back for final authentication purposes.
I would not have accepted a photo - no way - I had to see for myself. |

I prefer to buy from sellers I don't have to worry about. No need to crack the case.

These always crack me up If you had the paperwork would people not want the back opened
I think the best advice is to get the sale in order and then meet and have the back cracked one you have the cash. If anything is out of order offer the cash back. |
