My name is Mostel... Hello all... great forum. Just wanted to say how much I'm appreciating my SS/plat YM. I've had a Sub and GMT (old style) but until the YM, I don't think I found 'my' Rolex. The case is so elegant! Yet so strong. I don't think I ever fully appreciated how directly and completely Patek Philippe 'stole' their Calatrava case design from Rolex! (ref. 5127) It's a twin! Which just underscores what we all know--Rolex is the Mother brand of all watches. From Rolex, come them all. I never owned a Daytona, so for me this is my first time really experiencing the beauty of this case design. Rolex is so definitive! What a great, beautiful, yet totally masculine watch. That's Rolex. I love the maxi dial. I've wanted this watch for 5 years. I guess I waited because I've had a sort of love/hate relationship with Rolex, only because they are so damn popular, I felt I was not making a personal enough choice wearing one. But time and again, I came back to Rolex, unable to deny that, for me, it is the best watch money can buy. Not cheap, but the best value. I love the bulletproof feeling, the unequaled dependability. It's the only watch I'd want to wear if I ever had to have just one. Nothing touches it. I'm here to stay. This time--it's PERSONAL. Thanks for having me here.
