I want to get a Casio G-Shock or something like that. I mean i have a GMT II, a tag heuer professional, and a Swiss Army Base Camp. But even the Swiss Army was about 400some dollars, and there are times, where I just want to wear a watch simply to tell time. Not to mention that I am in love with my Rolex, and wear it too much, and sometimes I fear its too flashy. I get way too many comments on it.

Either way, I would appreciate your opinions on a good cheap plastic watch.

Cheap being 100 dollars or less, hopefully in the 40-80 range.

Hard to beat a G-Shock but Suunto makes some great watches also although they tend to be a little higher priced than what you are looking for.

As side note for the G-Shock, I was scuba diving in a quarry years ago and found a G-Shock buried in the muck at the bottom. The strap was sticking out of the mud and I thought someone had maybe dropped some scuba equipment so I swam over and to my surprise it was a working G-Shock. I have no idea how long it had been down there in probably 50 degree water but it was it pefect condition. They are about as tough as you can find along with the Suunto's. Good luck.

In the price range you mention you could get hold of a Seiko Monster, especially if you shop around or follow some auctions on ebay. It's a good looking watch and absolutely great value for your money!

This isn't a plastic watch though..

G shock are one of the most durable watches that were ever build i had 4 of them and they are amazing

My vote would also be the Casio G Shock. They are so durable plus they come in many different designs. I'm sure you will find one to your liking.

If I was gonna buy a digital watch, it would definitely be a Casio. Look for the Casio Pathfinder too, another nice option to the G-Shock.

If you are willing to spend a little bit more, the Tissot T-Touch watch would definitely be another good option as well as the Tissot High T. It's Swiss Made too.

Here's a Casio I bought last week at Walmart for $49.
Model MDV102-1AV
Its a a very nice looking watch and has lost "zero" seconds in the five days that I have had it!!! It is waterproof to 200 m and has push button light built in.
