Not a fan of the Datejust II. Like the original for dress though.

Datejust would probably be considered dressier by most, but as really only Rolex's sport models "speak" to me, I'd have to say GMT IIc.

The DJII is dressier. IMO both are appropriate for nearly every social situation. Certainly both go well with a suit and tie.
The GMT goes better with jeans/shorts when you're not at work, but I have no problems with a DJ then either. L |

I do like the GMTIIc of the 2, although a TT YG SS DJII with black face and Romans looks stunning

Out of the 2 you have listed, I would go with the GMT II C. My first choice that isn't listed would be a DD II.

GMT only because I prefer sport watches, but either would be an excellent choice.

Even though I own a GMT IIC, I would have to say the DJII, it's dressier.

Both of them would look great with a suit but for a dress watch I'd go with the DJ-II and I might add that TT looks better than SS/WG for that purpose to me.

I don't really care for either one of those with a suit. But to each his own.

I have both watches, but I would agree with Chris.

It's interesting that Rolex's Cellini line is completely overlooked when it comes to dress watches, even on a Rolex fan forum.
