What watch is he wearing?

Looks like a Seamaster Professional to me, I believe somebody on TRF talked about him getting that watch from his grandmother.

EDIT: I forgot to add that I also believe it's a quartz watch (information coming from the same person who wrote about the origin of the watch).

Well, it seems that he does own an Omega Seamaster.

And just now I do notice the helium valve.

Wow! That surprises me just a bit.

Thanks, Carl.

According to one of the articles, the watch was given to him by his mother.

Was this watch in production at that time?

Interesting articles Grady, it is surprising indeed as I thought Patek Philippe was the brand usually worn by english Royalty (I read that somewhere as well but can't remember where). Having said that, it is very much possible that this watch was given to him by his mother as Lady Diana passed away in 1997 and you can admire an Omega Seamaster Professional Quartz on Pierce Brosnan's wrist in 1995 [I]Goldeneye[I].

Hope it helped!

EDIT (again): I just found the place where I read the information about Patek Philippe and english royalty, it's on Wikipedia and it only talks about 1851 so my guess is that things maybe changed since that time! Either way, whether the Queen wears one or not, I would have thought he would wear a classier piece.

It was a gift from his mother. It can't get classier than that.

Omega midsize seamaster quartz. Heard contrasting stories that his mum gave it to him and that he was gifted it at a (Pierce Brosnan) James Bond premiere by production.

I think that HRH William and HRH Harry are truly going to drag the Windsor family kicking and screaming into the 21st century, watches and all. As young military officers, tool watches are very appropriate for them to wear. I am SURE they have a gaggle of Patek's etc..in their collections, most likely inherited or gifts.

IMHO, HRH Diana did a excellent job giving making sure her sons would grow into well grounded young men.

God save the Queen!

Agreed. And the very fact that they've both seen combat, they would feel a stronger bond with those watches.

It is a mid-size Seamaster. Speculation is that perhaps his late mother gifted it to him. It's not an expensive watch compared to other OMEGA timepieces.

There have been quite a lot of discussions on this on the WUS forum. Here's one:
http://forums.watchuseek.com/f408/pr...ay-534728.html
But the pic in the thread above is the newer model, I think his is the older early 2000s one.

Interestingly, the prince does not wear a signet ring on his little finger of the left hand - de rigeur for English Upper Classes/ Nobility. Could be to do with his Helicopter piloting.
