I have not, but they have a pretty good reputation and actually have a store in Maryland, I believe. Many on this forum believe in buying from an AD only. However, if one were to buy from a "Gray Dealer" then I think Alan Furman is very reliable. I visit their site frequently but have just not had the need to purchase from them. I believe others on this forum have and can provide some good feedback.

From my understanding, they are totally legit! In fact several on this forum have purchased from them. Although, somebody mentioned something about a return policy with them. If your Rolex you pruchase from them has a flaw, they are hesitant about replacing it and will fix instead. Which to me is not a big deal, but to some it is a deal breaker! Just my $.02 Why not go pre-owned through preownedrolex.com?

Why not buy from an Authorized Rolex dealer? Buying someone’s used watch to save a couple of hundred bucks, without the Rolex factory warrantee? Makes no sense to me, if you shop around there are ADs who can match A.F. pricing. I have looked at A.F. site and I am not too impressed with his prices. I have done better with my AD when I bought my Sea-Dweller and much better with the purchase of my LV Sub. I would keep looking if I were you.

I understand purchasing new, etc...... and I agree that A.F. is not that great of a deal when you get down to the bottom line! But, buying these watches and trying to get a good deal, is like enjoying a root canal at the dentists office. Granite, I have not purchased from an AD, but I have been to several. Each AD seems stuck on themselves to me! The only place I was greeted even remotely with kindness was at a Ben Bridge's in Vegas and of course B.B.'s is a grey dealer also! I went used, because I could not quite afford a $5000 watch and then on top of that taxes! Which in my area is 8.5%, talk about a rip off! Not to mention again they were rude and offered no discount at all! Not even a military discount! So, I went with Cayce from the Time Keeper! Just my $.02!

Thanks for all the feedback. Pricing seems to be about 8% better than the best deal in my town. If it's tax free then it seems like a good deal. Of course nothing will match the service and security of AD.

I purchased from them. They are legit. There was a problem with the bezel when it arrived. I sent it back, they paid for overnight shipping both ways. I recieved another watch and I had it verified. 100% brand new Rolex. No problem and I saved just a bit over 20% off retail + no state tax. Only bummer I found was that they only except credit cards for down payment, which for me was $500. They say the advertised price is the "Cash" price. They are easy to work with. I say if you have the cash, then fear not!

You know, that is a serious problem I have noticed recently! Most places don't accept CC's! What gives? To me, this really protects the consumer! So, then the cash price is cheaper! Makes no sense, other than the company (AF) having to pay the processing fee! Reminds me of a time where purchasing gas with a CC was more expensive! I tell you, nothing today can be easy and you really have to do your homework to get a deal. In fact it may take weeks to get that deal you may be looking for!

Now, let me see: When I go to Japan in October, can I gt the new GMT II for below $5000????? Hmm? Hmm? Yen rate vice USD??? Who knows!

If you're going to be up my way any time in the near future, my local AD is very friendly (even serves scotch) and knowledgeable plus you'll get a discount and pay no sales tax. Pretty much the best of all possible worlds.

I too was having bad luck with ADs until Tom turned me on to him.

Yes you do have to do your homework, if you dont want to pay retail. dont be in a hurry, sus out all your options. If you have questions for Furman, call them. They have a real bricks and mortar store. I didnt find any ADs that will discount 20%. The reason for the "cash" price, as it was explained to me, is to eliminated the the credit card fee.

+1 to Furman. They provided me links my local AD seemed incapable of obtaining in a timely fashion - though my watch came from a Carribean AD. Also, Furman would not last a week in the county they do business in if they were not legit.

The Ben Bridge in Vegas is a grey dealer? The stores in Arizona aren't, they're definitely Rolex AD's.

As far as Alanfurman.com goes, they're legit. I wanted my first Rollie to be from an AD, but I'd buy from them in the future. I talked to them at length when I was thinking about buying my Omega. You can't beat their no-hassles discount, great customer service and buying tax free is ALWAYS nice!

Yeah, I didn't understand that either. AFAIK, BB is 100% AD.

No.... WWoody in incorrect... Ben Bridge in Vegas is an Authorized Rolex Dealer.

Most of their stores, as well as Wynns, Ceasers, etc. close to the Strip, only sell BNIB though, and you won't find a discount on sport models.....too many buyers right behind you willing to pay MSRP.

A gray dealer will give you everything...... However, in the USA, according to RUSA, the 2 year warranty will be void. However, Alan Furman and others provide their own warranty....frequently for life..

For instance... 'the life' of the dealer. There's (sort of) the rub. Don't get me wrong, I'm so far a fan of Furman's... Just know who you're dealing with if you go this route.
