Rolex 16613 Project

Hello everyone,
I've been working on a complete renovation of a 16613 and will post photographs when completed, if anyone is interested.
So far I have renewed the hands, dial, crystal and carried out extensive polishing of the case, which looked as though it had been worn by an exceptionally clumsy Bricklayer.
The final part I need before a full service is the bezel.
I managed to buy a used bezel insert in excellent condition with the matching dial, so just need the bezel itself.
Having said that, the damaged bezel pops off and on nicely but looks as though it's been used as a hammer for most of it's life so has a great distressed look to it, which I quite like in a weird way!
So my dilemma is where can I obtain a new solid gold bezel as I refuse to pay the ludicrous Rolex brand new cost?
Any suggestions very welcome.

If you have project shots we'd love to see them.

IMHO, you should go for a pre-owned bezel vs. new. You can post in the WTB section and those with spare parts can contact you.

Hi there,
Thanks to everyone for the photo requests and for the advice which I will follow - I will take some photos in the next day or so.
I have used 100% Rolex parts right down to the thicker than average Spring Bars, so would like to get hold of a genuine used bezel if possible.
Typically I re-assembled the watch this morning before reading this - Doh!
I'm guessing you would like to see it in it's component parts?
If so I will strip it down again - only takes a couple of minutes, but not something I like to do too often as the screw heads will start to look worn.
I should have taken photographs of the bracelet and case before and after refurbing, but the battle scarred bezel should give you an idea of what they were like!

Anyway, my next query involves a box etc., for the watch.
I think it would have the serial number 64.00.01 but may be wrong, so any advice welcome.

You can post in the WTB section for a correct box.
