Hello from UK... what have you done to me? :)
Hi. I've been a member here for a good 9 months or so, and only just getting round to introducing myself properly. I joined TRF after deciding I wanted to buy a Submariner early last year. This site has been a wealth of information!
I can't thank you all enough for the insight, knowledge & support that exists here. I took the plunge and bought a new Sub C in May last year. I thought at the time that I'd buy new & really couldn't see the appeal of a 'vintage' watch. Boy has my opinion changed since I joined up here. I've read many times here that owning a Rolex and being part of this community becomes dangerously addictive. I dismissed this at the time, thinking that would never be me. Ha ha ha ha, okay I admit I was wrong. Only a few months after getting the bug, I've begun looking for a second watch, a vintage Rolex with character and a history. It was only after I bought new from an AD that the exciting world of 'vintage' became attractive to me. I'm currently driving my wife mad. Spending far too much of my time researching what to buy next. This site is such a great resource. So as well as saying hi, I'd also like to say thanks & express my pleasure at being part of a great, friendly & knowledgeable community. Look what you've done to me! :) Martin |
