Would anyone here trade a Submariner date for a Tudor Heritage + at least $1K in cash
Wondering if I should do it. I love my sub but I'm thinking about changing things up. I figure if I get a sub again I'd go big and just get a Sub-C, but I don't really want to have both a Sub and a Heritage.

Personally, I would do it. And I have considered it too, but there is just no way that I can let go of this sub, for any reason.

No, I wouldn't. Keep the Sub and save for the Tudor.

Whilst the Tudor Heritage is a fine looking watch i wouldn't flip a Sub Date for one, save your cash & grab a pre-owned one further down the road

well, what are the respective ages and conditions of the pieces? roughly the same? if so, my "feeling" is that you'd need to get more than $1K back, but, i'm not 100% sure.
anywho, i'd have a tough time flipping a watch i "love" for something else just to change things up. good luck with the choice. |

Well I wouldn't trade for a Tudor - Rolex Sub will always be a classic(and the feel good wear factor that only a branded Rolex can give). If you love your Sub as you say I'm not sure why you would even be considering this proposition!

Plus 1k seems not working on your side. Maybe the negotiation should start at 2k.
Just my 2 cents.

I would personally have an endoscopy/rectal exam done with a rusted metal rod, than to do the
trade. |

Maybe buy a Tudor if you want, but a Rolex to Tudor trade just seems wrong in my opinion.

I wouldn't do it but the street prices in the UK puts the A ser. Sub £1,000 ($1550) more than the Tudor.

If he is trading to a re-seller then the re-seller will need to leave room to make money on the resale as well. If I had a Sub I wouldn't trade it ever. Just keep saving for the next watch.

Go after the watch you really want regardless of brand name or what others might think is proper. However, considering the examples in question I'd think the trade should include a few more $$.
