Happened to be at one of our local malls today and walked into a Ben Bridge Jewelers. I went in to look at the Explorer's (which I love), but what really caught my eye was the new DateJust Turn-O-Graph! Surprisingly beautiful and the perfect size! The ss with white gold looked quite a bit better than the two-tone gold, and eventhough I am not a fan of white dials, this particular model looked great! Anyone with their impressions of this model?

I share your opinion about the ToG.

What I really like about it is the red second's hand and especially the red date

However, I am biased as to what to think about the WG bezel. It does look good and is ONE helluva SHINY piece! But I would probably avoid turning/using that bezel altogether:

Reason: It is WHITE GOLD! Just think about how quickly you would WEAR those fine sharp edges round by just touching/turning it on a regular basis!

IMHO, gold is simply just too soft to be used at a part that is intended to be exposed to so much use.

You're right about the bezel, Bo! when I tried the watch on, my first instinct was to turn the bezel, but it just didn't seem like a very good idea. The red does stand out very nicely on the white dial. This model seemed to combine both the sporty and dressy aspects of Rolex.

The TOG is a cool watch, but if I were going to buy a DJ it would not be that one. There's something about the watch being between a dress model and sports model that doesn't appeal to me.

I do love the red second hand and datewheel, and remember that the TOG is available in a black face, as well!

Actually there are a lot of posts regarding this watch and some great pics. I will try to find one. The white gold is not too soft and holds up quite well according to those who have this watch, and there is no reason at all not to turn that bezel all over the place for whatever reason you want. It too has a tool component.

I had previously seen the TOG in photos on the net, but there sure is something about seeing a rolex in person! I think that is really what grabbed me (this is probably a topic for another thread), but the difference between trying it on your wrist and seeing a photo is something else! The Explorer remains a fav of mine, but everytime I see one in person, I can't think straight!

I love the turnograph that Arturo posted as an attachment. I love that white dial with the jubilee combination. The red second hand also pops at you with the white dial. That would be the version I would buy.

JJ gave me that pic and that is the watch he suggested I might like for a dress watch. It is very sleek, not too small when compared to the other DJ's, and the SS is really great. Then I saw the rose gold, and started to think......hmmmmmm.

I love the turnograph, but have a white dial Explorer II(1 yr. old) and a 1 yr. old Orris Complication with white dial. SO, I have to go with the black dial...and am AVIDLY looking for a new style watch no older than one year...in at least near mint condition...so that's what I think of the turnograph...what could be finer than a red sweep hand and a red date marker? Ahhh....I'm in love with Rolex Turnograph. Can somebody out there take me out of my pain?
