Don't Go There!
Microsoft has just been granted a patent for a GPS feature that warns pedestrians to avoid areas where crime is high and apparently where the weather is bad, not that there's necessarily a correlation between the two.
A GPS device is used to find shortcuts and avoid traffic, but Microsoft’s patent states that a route can be plotted for pedestrians to avoid an “unsafe neighborhood or being in an open area that is subject to harsh temperatures.”

Not a bad idea. I actually know of a guy from Detroit who got lost in an unsavory part of town while travelling to a GTG, thanks to a misguided GPS.

Microshaft is so irrelevant now that they have to try anything to get back in the game.

Wait for the charges of geographic and meteorological profiling that will inevitably follow.
