Looking for a new everyday watch. I work in an office and wear button shirts and slacks each day (no suits) so i guess anything goes. I am in the 2-3k budget and most probably will go with a lightly used model to save some cash. I was checking out a couple of breitlings the colt gmt and the chrono avenger. Until I saw the chopard gran turismo xl in person and I am in love with all three!

can anyone offer their opinion? I think I am leaning towards the chopard since I have 2 breitings but I am still in huge confusion since the chopard looks HUGE on my tiny wrist but it just looks amazing

Between the Breitling and the Chopard, I would opt for the Breitling. I'm not crazy about the color scheme on the Chopard. I've got a Breitling Navitimer Olympus and I love it. But that one might be a bit big on you - it's 43 mm.

Are you looking for sport or more dressy? A DJ would do well as a dressier watch. An EXP would be a good sport watch. Neither is too large and would probably suit you.

Chopard all the way, fairly unique and very cool. White face with all of the business of the Breitling does nothing for me.

cant do another rolex i have a max of 3k budget the breitling new from alanfurman is 2050 and a preowned gt xl will run about 2500

I would seriously check out Omegas SeaMaster and Railmaster lines with the Co-Axial movement. They are all availiable brand new within your budget, water resistant to 150 meters, proven, look good and will take a beating.

I agree with Chad.
Omegas are really value for money.
If the Chopard looks hugh so would the breitlings.
I would recommend getting the mid-size seamaster series or the 36mm Aqua Terra.
I actually wanna get one myself but I in the end I decided to keep my cash and buy a Ti Seiko diver instead.

That particular Chopard is pretty large, if I recall, but if it fits your wrist (I assume you have already tried it on) I would go for the Chopard, as they are a couple of steps above Breitling. Now I am thinking of buying a Breitling soon, and I like their brand, but Chopard is a classier watch. This being said, I have to admit I am highly sympathetic to those who are advising you look at Omega--excellent value for the money.

I like this idea, But it hurts to see all the scratches and stuff from wearing it daily, Honestly I think whatever damage I might do can be reversed, But I still rather have a SS watch to wear more often.... I am still unsure and I dont mind taking my time since I do have this EXCELLENT watch to wear every day.

The Chopard is polished and will show scratches far more than the blasted Breitiling.

If scratches are your bugaboo, choose the Breitling.

Thats not the issue... i would like to have a ss watch to have for those informal times. i am just torn between a few watches and now im reconsidering a planet ocean

How about the Super Ocean Professional? Its around 40mm, and has a brushed polished, however also comes with the polished bling version.

The Omega PO is also a good choice, can't go wrong with the orange arab with black bezel :-)

The only 40mm breitling i would go for would be the colt gmt.... BUT i have an older colt chrono so i dont want it to look alike... I will check out the colt gmt as well... the po is great also but im still gonna try to find a preowned GT XL its just keeps smiling back at me!

I might take a different approach and do some shopping around at vintage stores. Something like an older Hamilton, maybe the Ventura, would make quite a statement. Something not too flashy that nobody else has... Cheers, Larry.

BTW, I love Chopard, and lust for one...
