Indecisive..

- Forgive me...

I must drive y'al nuts with my watch flipping..

I LOVE my LV-C... I don't want folks to think I don't!

Only thing is, the idea of going gold is still always lurking inside my head.. "should I, shouldn't I?" I know I will end up with either a white or yellow gold Sub at some point.

I just really like the idea of a TT GMTIIc..

I'm only 18 and I arn't made of money.. I can get the gold pieces later on in the year/life..

But for now, I'm sure a TT watch will cure the "itch"..

... So the question is, do I keep to the original plan? Keep the LV-C and sell another watch to get my EXPII Polar (which is sat in the safe at my AD)

.. Or do I sell up and go TT...!!?

Dino, though you'd never ask

if i had the itch... i'd sell up to get both the EXPII Polar and a TT GMTIIC (surely someone can drop you off and pick you up from work..?!?)

Keep the LV Dino! You will regret it IMHO. Here you go- just to twist your arm a bit... Seeing your shots and how good it looked is what motivated me to get mine- seriously!

Dino, have you learnt nothing. The itch will never be cured. A few months after owning the TT(probably days) you will want the the full gold one.

I will never learn!!

I'm "the youngest flipper on the forum" and thats not a title I wanted to have...

Since January 2011 I've owned a GMTIIc - Breitling Airwolf - Breitling Superocean - LV-C - Omega Connie - Breitling Chrono Evo...

I'm doing something wrong..

The best thing to do is keep your Subc-LV, just take a deep breath and let it out slowly your mind will shake any crazy thoughts. I sometimes want to get a Day date but I do my breathing and the thought leaves.

you're reading my mind Ken.....

I do absolutely love the TT GMTIIc and it is probably my favourite watch......but I really think that LV looks so cool on you Dino and therefore would be sacrilege to even think of trading.

Just slow down Dino...... As you know, there's no competition here to have a new watch every few weeks....... So I would just step back and think about what you really really want. If it's a full gold Rolex, then save for it...... I always think you appreciate something far more when you've worked and saved for it rather than just as part of another flipping exercise.

I will bring my TT GMTIIc and WG Sub along the next time we meet and you can try them on for a longer test drive

But don't rush into interim purchases just to clock up another watch or your dream watch just gets further away......... And none of us like that scenario

Steve!!! Words of sence and wisdom!! That bloody Eric (esm) would have me flipping all day everyday...

Thanks for your advice, I've been here far to many times which is making me think.. "maybe the TT really is for me"..

All my dad keeps telling me is.. "Slow down Dino.. Its not a race" Its soooooo flippin hard when you have a dream and can't hit it fast enough I'm real determined to go full gold..

That would be great Steve! Its always a little bit of a rush when in the AD because it gets a little busy, I need a true test run..

I would either do the TT GMTIIC which is an awesome, awesome watch, or I would go for the gusto and get that all gold Sub. For you, I'm leaning all gold Sub.

Considering your age, I would say the LV is the best suitable watch for you.

Buy whatever model you really like now, and keep it. Forever. It will have more meaning to you in 20-30 years than if you flip the watch every few years for a different model.

If you can afford a 116610LV and Explorer II, you should be able to sell the 116610LV, add the cash to your Explorer II cash and buy a used 16618. Then you can save the additional funds to flip into a ceramic model while wearing full gold.

Don't flip into a brand new two-tone, you'll take a hit on resale and be further from your goal. But buying a used 16618 will avoid this.

I am 34 and couldn't fathom wearing a watch as expensive as a full gold watch. I understand the allure of the watch, but there are many other things in life the funds needed to purchase a watch like this could be used for. Once you have it, given time, there will be something else that will catch your eye. It is the nature of this hobby. I don't ever now if I will be lucky enough to own a brand new Rolex in my life. Family responsibilities, college for three kids, retirement... at your age I didn't even have enough to buy a SS oyster bracelet without watch head. You are way ahead of the curve. I am not saying don't archive your grail, but like others have said, slow down. You have a lifetime ahead of you. Just be smart with your decisions, especially at these high costs.

I would get the TT GMT II-C, it seems that this is the watch you keep coming back to every few months. I think it's a natural progression to move up into a TT for awhile, then take it to the next level with full on gold.

What's the rush...slow down. Keep the Sub-LV and decide between the Polar or the TT GMT IIc for now. You have your whole life ahead of you to acquire more watches. Also you seem to like the Rolex brand better so why are you messing with the other watch brands???
