A Scotch...and a Watch.

Downing and I at our AD today. Downing with his brand new Seadweller and me with my brand new Explorer II...

and of course two Glenlivet Scotch on the rocks. Free of charge. Usually I go neat, but it was a hot day today.

We had a great afternoon drooling over Rolex!

I've got some Glenfiddich in the cabinet and thought about having some this evening. However, I did wings and beer earlier, so it'll be cheap-ass bourbon and Coke!

I still can't believe you get good scotch and watches! Bastard!

Funny...Downing borrowed a loupe and stared at the etched crown on the crystal of his SD for 5 minutes!

Hey, who's that good looking guy in the white shirt--oh wait, that's me!

Yup, that was fun. I think we have the best AD in all the land.

Unfortunately we had to leave a little early as Tom's figured out that every time he's bought a Rolex it was on his second Scotch. So we had a self-imposed one Scotch limit today.

Which is just as well because if we had stayed for a second drink I might very well have walked out the door with that gorgeous TT Black Sub. At this point, the AD knows I can't even pretend I'm not interested anymore.

"Hi, we're Tom and Downing and we're twoscotchrolexaholics."

Here's to you, Tom!

Thanks for sharing the story of this event and the lovely pic! That Explorer looks really cool on your wrist.

@ Downing: A manly wrist for a manly watch! You got it!

Yeah, I once visited the "Oyster Bar" of Harrods in London. I believe that is the concept Kansaivets Rolex Oyster AD is trying to copy

You wont believe,I last drank whisky in 1995 ....It was during the world cup semifinal ,which the Sprinboks won very narrowly against the French .End of the first half I finished a 3/4 bottle of Johnnie Red ........ you can imagine the outcome !!! The next edayb EVERYBODY was very, shall we say, displeased with me,that included our dog.Apparantly he was tackled frequently during the second half .....

I prefer a good brandy now
