Just bought a 1675 GMT Pepsi
Just ending a week's vacation in San Francisco. Between sight seeing, I was adamant about getting a jubilee bracelet for my 2 year old GMT II. No AD could help. I took it to the RSC in San Francicso. They tried to put one on but finally said no jubilee bracelet would fit my GMT. By the way, these people are really friendly and helpful. They were so easy to talk with and they bent over backwards to try to help me. So no jubilee. A few days later I wandered into a watch maker and looked at his vintage 1675's. Long story short, I bought one at a decent price...with jubilee bracelet. I then took it to the RSC. They found a few things that needed correcting, so I am having those fixed and completely serviced. At the end of the day, or in 2-3 weeks when they send me the 1675, I will have a 40 year old vintage GMT Pepsi that looks new. They are keeping it as authentic as possible and stated they had some hands that were in better shape than mine (same vintage) and they'd throw those in.
Price wise, I'll have $3800 in it total. Not a great feat, but cheaper than some on the Internet and it will be Rolex certified. PS-My wife supported this decision and she wants to get me some more vintage Rolex's later. Man, I'm going to have to keep her. I know....pics!
