Lost Bezel Insert

Hello fellow rolex owners I had recently received a 1995 submariner 16610 but the bezel insert fell out! At close examination I notice the part was only glued on. I have been asking around and everybody is telling me it is over 1500 dollars is it worth it to send the watch to rolex or can I just re-glue the part! I was also wondering, can I wear the watch without the bezel insert or can it further damage the watch? Oh and by the way I had te watch checked by a rolex dealer it is real for those who think this only happens with fakes

A replacement bezel insert costs ~$100. Not sure where you're getting your numbers. Good luck!

Fake Rolex, probably not.
Fake bezel insert, possibly correct.

The bezel insert is a snap fit, it is not glued in.
Fake inserts can be a loose fit, they can fall out and/or rotate inside the bezel.

A genuine Rolex replacement bezel might fix the problem IMO.

The $1300 figure comes from the price of a ceramic bezel insert, or at least that figure has been bandied about the board for awhile now.

X2 And a genuine 16610 bezel insert is not expencive around £30-£35 and yes they are just a simple snap fit.

Welcome toTRF.

Is it just the insert, or the insert and bezel?

Please post some PICs of the watch when you get the chance.

If its the insert that has fallen out it is a cheap fix £40 ordered through Rolex from an AD, it snaps into place

I'll send pics later this afternoon but I figured it was fake because it was green and they didn't add green bezels until late 2003, and I got my prices from my cities authorized dealers they said it was a combination of shipping part cost and 700 overhaul or something like that but still can anyone tell me if it's safe to wear without thank you all!

As mentioned an insert is less the 100USD. I'd go somewhere else.

I was trying to get one for my old 16800 and I was quoted £90! All I got was "Oh they've gone up you know." I didn't buy it.

Welcome to the Forum and as stated it shouldn't be too costly to replace the bezel insert if that is all it needs. Usually someone has them for sale in our For Sale section so check it out. Or your AD should be able to procure one for you. Did you buy it new and when was the last time you had the watch serviced???

Since your insert is already out, all you have to do is clean the glue off using a cotton swab with some acetone, or lightly scrap it off with a plastic knife or toothpick. once the glue is off, the gen inserts would easily snap in.

You can get an insert from your AD.

I got it as a gift a couple of years ago but didn't wear it to often so I didn't service but it still works and the only thing wrong is this bezel insert

I got it in after scraping of glue but would like the original black color still but it makes me nervous knowing it can fall out so can anyone tell me is it bad for the watch to wear it without the insert if it falls out again
