Well I finally feel like a bona fide TRF member...IT's Here and I am too!!!
My quest is over but first I need to thank my wife of 27 years, thank you. I am posting pictures and will be changing my profile to say I am the proud owner of a DSSD. I also need to thank David SW who was awesome during the entire transaction. David answered ALL my questions and as you can imagine I had many because it was my first Rolex purchase. So thanks David and thanks also to my good fellow TRF member George!!
For those that did not read my other thread, titled “This is the Week!!”, I purchased the watch on Monday from David and received it Thursday at my house, but I was away in Detroit so I had to wait…. On top of everything else my flight was delayed which added to the anxiety. When I finally walked into my house I was greeted by the dog, and had to say hello to her otherwise she would not leave me alone. Then my wife walked over and greeted me with the FedEx box in her hand. After I properly greeted my wife, she assisted me in opening the package. Those of you that have purchased a watch from David will know he does an EXTREMELY thorough job in wrapping up the watch. My wife and I laughed because the process was like an operation. We were being very careful not to damage the Rolex Box!! Once we were done with the wrapping, off came the outer white sleeve of the outer Rolex box. Once removed, the outer box was revealed with its enormous Rolex crown. Then the beautiful Green Rolex Box was revealed and I had a smile on my face from ear to ear. I pushed the flap down on the outer box, removed the Rolex box and opened it and there it was surrounded by a light green, beautifully textured microfiber material, my G series DSSD!!! Below are the pictures to commemorate this wonderful day that fulfilled a journey that started more than 25 years ago!! |

Nelson, great story and I'm glad you got the watch you wanted. There's nothing quite like the moment when you put your first Rolex watch on your wrist.....
