You can't test pressure with a vacuum - in fact.

In theory if it holds -0.8 Bar it will be waterproof to 12000 metres.

'Theormitycreticaly'.

Scottish word - means 'no chance'.

Too scientific for me.

I`d just let Rolex do it.

The volume/chamber that you're pulling a vacuum on with the tool "mityvac" is being displaced as pressure out of the pressure port on the top of the unit since it is a closed system. Don't let the name of the tool fool you. Worst comes to worst I can calculate it myself if the information is not available.

The machine I use at work (witschi proofmaster s) does a vacuum test before a pressure test only to make sure nothing is seriously wrong before the pressure comes in. So a loose glass or not fully on back stops the pressure crushing a glass in to the watch face for example.
With the standard 100m test it does a vacuum test of 0.7 bar, but obviously the vacuum pressure has nothing to do with the water resistance rating.
