Tudor Submariner.. first time poster
Hi,
I recently purchased this submariner on ebay from a seller with perfect feedback but, had a few warning flags go up when trying to communicate with the seller, also talked to another buyer who received a fake watch from the same seller... It is a tudor submariner with a serial number 232397 and model number 76000. Any help in confirming this is a real tudor would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!! -Andrew |

Not looking good.
A tudor face in a rolex case - or at least a case stamped with Rolex. |

the caseback SHOULD say rolex.
it looks good to me. correct crown. etc. you are aware that this is the larger-midsized model, right? the 76000s hould measure 36mms accross. the 76100s are teh full sized 40mm watches. you never realy see faked midsized watches like this. the dial should be good. if you have a mag glass, is the '=' sign clear and crisp (2 horizontal tiny lines)? |

i see what you are talking about after the m... no magnifying glass to tell??
i took it by a local jewelry store here in town and the guy had never seen a tudor submariner before.. rolex submariner yes... so he really couldn't give me an answer as to whether it was real or not.. |

I think you'll find it's legitimate. You could always send it to Rolex for a service to be sure, either now or in the future.

The M (metres) looks quite heavy and crude. The top of the A on the STAINLESS between the lugs looks a bit odd to me. Some of the letter engraving on the case back looks a little crude. Are the balls on top of the crown prongs on the winder usually that big. It could just be the photos or my bad eye sight. I'm no expert, Photos can be deceiving at the best of times.
