Please help with Datejust Authentication
About a year ago I received some great advice and help from this forum and I purchased my first rolex from a member and was extremely happy. I am now looking to purchase a rolex for my husband. I am in Australia and would prefer to purchase from here. I was wondering if anyone would could please take a moment and let me know what you think about the two watches below;
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/270910364...ht_1089wt_1112 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/380411250...#ht_2140wt_878 The band seems to sit with a gap in the second one? I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to assist. Thank you! |

The watch in the second link is an older one and the end links stretch over time. The picture probably exaggerates the problem, it can normal be rectified by a jeweler and some careful tweaking. Other than that, watch looks good to me.

The jubilee on the second one is an aftermarket fake. At least the clasp is. Look closely at the second pic.
The second one's band is fine. I have a 6251H from 1972 with 55 end links on one of my DJ's. Looks and fits just like that one. |

Make sure it is from a dealer
Sounds like your husband is a nice guy, he needs a nice two tone datejust from a local Sydney dealer.
I can only say please. I promise to be a good hsuband. Thanks for my Birthday present sweety. |
