Nipple dial TT Submariner?
Got a guy locally who's selling a TT Submariner. He sent me a picture and I noticed the nipple dial. I asked the vintage and he said A-serial/series. I am pretty certain these dials were not on an A 16613, and told him that. My research shows that if it's 16613 it has to be early R or otherwise a late 16803?

the dial looks authentic, whats the question? when the nipple dial was made or is this watch fake? people tend to put different age dials on different age watches. But you are correct it A serial does not come with nipple dials as it is a 16800 series dial. It still looks nice as it would with an equal age watch.

eag310 hit all the bases. The nipple dial is too late to have originally been on an "A" series Submariner.

He came back and said it's a U Series. Then that he sold the watch. Thanks for the intel.

Seems to be better for you that the watch is no longer available, if he decided that it is a different series. Sounds like you don't trust him 100%.

Perhaps. This all came into being because I'm looking to sell my 16613 (haven't posted it here yet), and replace with a SS GMT or Sub-Date. This guy was listing a Sub on CL, though it turned out to be a 14060m. He claimed to be coming into a Sub-Date, but sent me info on this TT instead. He would only offer me a ridiculous price for my 16613, I suggested he trade up for my watch with a 16610, and he could make his margins on my watch and trade the 16610 at a lower cost.
