IWC secures their crystals against sudden drops in pressure.
I guess in commercial air travel loss of cabin pressure is such that a few popped crystals don't really make the news, but it would be interesting to know if IWC's effort has merit for aerial mass transit.

Well an even more important question, is it safe to wear in a plane because the air is recirculated. Is recirculated air safe for the sky-dweller?
