Rolex Prince Yellow Gold????? Your thoughts?
Hey Board,
I haven't posted in awhile but I am now looking for a leather banded, gold dress watch to compliment my two subs (sub-date and anniversary). I have fallen in love with the Rolex Prince yellow gold but am not sure if it is the "one" for the long run. What does the board think of the new styling and longevity of the look of the new Prince? I would apprciate your input. |

I really like the look of the Prince model. It is definitely quite the dress watch. Plus you can see the movement since it has a transparent caseback which I think is really nice. Its not everyday you see a Rolex with a transparent caseback.
My opinion is that if you plan to purchase one, my vote would be to get it in white gold instead of yellow.

hey there!
i really dig the prince model. i think it is a breath of fresh air to the other rolex models although i know the inspiration for prince is taken from the early days of rolex. i really like white gold and generally favour it more than yellow gold. however, i have seen the yellow gold of prince and they look stunning. i just thought if you have a steel watch, it'd be versatile to have a dressy watch in yellow gold. but whatever you choose you cant go wrong oh and i LOVE clear case back. you probably ended uplookign at the back side of the watch as much as you do at the dial hehe happy contemplating and please do show a wrist shot when you got it. i dont think i have seen a prince photos here. |

I'll make it a Trifecta!
I really do like the Art Deco styling of the Prince models...all 4 of them! I too favor white gold over yellow...I feel white gold is more versitle and has a bit more sophistication over the "bling" of yellow gold. The only thing I'm not so fond of about the Prince models...is that they are hand wound. I like the convenience of my watch winding itself...LOL But I guess it wasn't to be for these tank style pieces. You can't go wrong with any of the Prince models...but white gold is my vote! Good luck with this...and yes...please post pictures once you decide! |
