Hi Everyone,
With Easter just round the corner, Rose and myself were thinking of a holiday destination and Bali came to mind but we left it too late + had to pay a massive premium, so we decided to go back to awesome Shenzhen, China.

It's a great spot for shopping, food, drinks, running amuck.

The Aussie $ also goes a looooooooooooong way there.

We depart tomorrow night for 11 days, looking very much forward to this trip.
Here are some pics from my last trip to SZ over Christmas 2011, I brought my daughter Eliza (16 years old) with me and she loved it. I'll be snapping lots more pics this trip and post them when I return.

Great trip idea. Going to China on short notice seems exotic to us in the US - but maybe it's more like us going to Rio for Carnival.

I'm not sure how far Rio is away from the USA, but Perth to Hong Kong is approx 8 hours flight, then another hour before we cross into China and finally the hotel.

Arrived safely in Shenzhen, China, weather is superb and I'm back in my old stomping ground.

Enjoying a Guinness & Tsing Tao in the lobby bar before heading out to the famous seafood strip, might give those penis clams (as Kevin named them) a try.

Oh yeah, pics or it didn't happen!!!

@Esexx, that dish is snake deep fried with chillies, somewhat different and yummy.

Pl don't worry, I'm safe (I think & feel), update as I go with my iPhone. Will post the pics from my camera when I return. Cheers

In my travels, I got Ink done whilst Rose was shopping, killed 2.5 hours there, turned out well.

Bull's penis broiled with chicken, make you sexy.

Chicken & duck spare parts sold in a night market.
