ROUDER - explanation (according to this seller)
timelord54
For those who wonder about these dials, carrying both Rolex and Tudor names, here's what an Ebay expert says: "Quite a few people have questions, or lack there of, regarding the refinished dials on the Rolex Tudor models. We have been through the difference above but just in case, they must be dated between 1945-1999. As stated above, the watches have Rolex stamped cases, winding stems and bracelets. Since these watches were manufactured by Rolex the dials CAN BE refinished as long as the word "Tudor" is clearly written on the front of the dial. The companies who refinish these dials will only refinish on the original Rolex Tudor plates, which is required in order to comply with governing rules and regulations, and must include the written word "Tudor" on the front of the dial. The location of the written word is irrelevant. For those who say, "Rolex never made the Tudor line with the Rolex Crown on the dial so they are fake," you couldn't be more wrong. Rolex manufactured this line alongside all other models of Rolex, stamping the Oyster case with the Rolex crown, the winding stem and the bracelets. So, putting the Rolex Crown on the dial and adding the written word "Tudor" doesn't devalue the watch, change its make or model, nor deem it counterfeit. It's the same as purchasing a Lexus then adding another Lexus symbol somewhere of the car...it doesn't change the model nor imply it is something it's not, it is still a Lexus!" So there you have it. |

Somewhat mistaken is right. Who died and made him the Rolex/Tudor expert? I still would like to see an example of a Tudor dial with the Rolex branding on it simultaneously. "Must be dated between 1945 and 1999." Is he making this up as he goes along? Maybe Mr. Wilsdorf gave him this information.

...I guess the Lanham Act does not apply to that seller.
...well now, we will let eBay sort it all out... ...some learn the hard way. ...BTW, seller has TWO of them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/280855853007...84.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/280856115634...84.m1423.l2649 |

These guys are really getting old with their bullshit. I would like for one of them to show me a genuine Tudor/Rolex dialed crown like the one he attempts to convince everyone is genuine.
As I have posted here in the past, these watches are hyped as a Rolex to increase the selling price. Further, they are marketed toward many buyers that do not know the difference and buy into this BS. Several lawsuits have been made against sellers of these fraudulent ebay listings.
