How do YOU buy your rolex?...

...If you buy from an AD, do you usually use credit card, cashier's check, personal check, other? If you buy from a trusted seller, do you usually use paypal, wire transfer, other?

I've paid with credit card and cash. The only time I used the card was because I wanted the points and I paid the balance off the following month.

Most of the time I'll wire the money if I'm buying from a trusted seller. I haven't bought anything from the AD yet. I'll probably cut them a cheque or run to the bank after they accept my offer.

I only buy from a grey dealer, I tell him what I want & he has it in a day or two, at a no haggle discount...

Cash (Wire Transfer) to either DavidSW or Tony Geha (Justrolexes). Easy as pie.

My first was purchased from a grey dealer on a credit card, for insurance purposes mainly as I was in Kuala Lumpar.
My second was a wired transfer to David Duggan.

I assume when people say cash they don't walking to store with £1000's?

I like 0% finance from an AD. It somehow feels like a free watch on your wrist.

precisely! that's a follow up question. for those paying "cash" do you pay with cashier's check or just hand the stack of $6000+ to the salesperson?

So far credit card with my purchases from AD. Though my next will probably be a transfer to one of the trusted TRF sellers.

After many months of research I bought my watch at my local AD. I paid with a Master Card which has 12 months of no interest. I will pay it off well before the 12 months. I could have saved a few hundred in the grey market but in the end I decided the AD was the best way for me.
