discounts from authorized dealers
Have you ever received a discount at an authorized dealer?
If yes, what was the percentage discount. |

30% was the best I received, but I have been purchasing there for many years.

I'm interested in a SS SubC in the US, anyone has an idea of how much of a discount would be reasonable on this?

If you are a first time buyer it will be tough. Discounts happen when you build a solid relationship with an AD. People aren't going to write openly about what ADs they get great discounts at.

Depends on the piece.....and the AD.

I got 10% from 1 AD and 20% from another AD. In Hong Kong, it is almost impossible to get any discount unless you are buying a very unpopular model.

About a year ago a Florida AD offered me 15% on a Deepsea, but no discount on a Sub C.

Try a smaller mom-and-pop AD for discounts. The chain stores won't budge off list.
I got about 18% discount by visiting tons of ADs and just talking casuallay and asking for their best price. Like posted above I won't divulge their identity because it could get them in some sort of trouble. Work the area you live in, or buy a BNIB from a Trusted Seller on TRF if you want to save money off list. |

zippo, nada , nothing. That is why I went Grey. The model I was looking at for months was the GMTII C and I gave them a shot and they said like $200 off which is less that 3%. I went grey and saved around 10% and did not have to pay the tax so that was another 7.5%

It depends on the watch, the dealer inventory, the location of the store and how you carry yourself. Many, many factors are in play.......

10% usually for SS models. Only time I got 0% was when I got my Sub LV back when they were hot still.

I was at my local AD last week looking at the Sub LVC list was $8,895 They offered up 10% pretty easily. Sales tax here is 5% I can drive 45 minutes to Delaware where there is no sales tax. I have not visited that AD there, YET!
