Price check Day-Date
I know, I know guys. We all hate someone asking what a watch is worth, especially without pictures.
I, however, could not take pictures at my jeweler. The watch in question is a (36mm) Day-Date with President bracelet in YG with the Champagne elevated stick dial (not the one with the lume in the stick). It is an older watch, although I am not sure about the exact year. I do know it has a leather box with a crown buckle though. It has the main papers and the tags. It was recently fully serviced at a RSC (a month ago) and the bracelet has little to no stretch out of 100 (100 being perfect) it about a 90-95. They are asking $12,500 but giving me a price of $9,500 out the door. The watch itself in in a overall 90-95 condition. Being that it's at least 20 something years old, that to me is really good. I have done what searching I can but couldn't find the exact answers I needed in the time I am going to make a decision. So, I am coming to you guys for help. Some questions: From what I have described what model does it sound like? What are the differences between that model and the current? Is $9,500 out the door a really good price? Should I push for a flat $9,000? Am I right in thinking that it shouldn't drop too much more in value, that it's about bottomed out? Really appreciate it guys! |
