16613 or 16600 ? How many were produced ?
Dear ALL,
Does anyone know how many 16600 or 16613 were produced ? I am looking to buy another Rolex, but I can't make my mind up, between a 16613 Blue Sub and a 16600 Sea-Dweller. They both seem to be around the same price here in the UK. Many Thanks |

Welcome. Both great watches! Don't know the production numbers, but neither is going to be particularly exclusive.
Pick the one you like the best and enjoy!

It's only ever going to be a guess.
The 16613, 24 years = 192,000 The 16600, 22 years = 130,000 I'm likely to be inaccurate but neither are at all rare and nor are there millions of them.

i was googling "how many 16600 watches were produced" and this thread came up..
as for the estimate of 130k in 22yrs, what are your assumptions to that calc? since rolex produces about 1M watches /year, then over a 22yrs timespan that would be lets say 15M (i assume they didnt produce 1M watches 20yrs ago), so then if the 16600 is only 130k its ~1%. so what would be the amounts of watches that make the other 99% type wise? subs xx % dj xx % etc would appreciate if this thread could shed more light into this.. |

Amazing things is that regardless of how many were produced, each of them is maintaining its current value!!

Well both watches have had a very long life span and in all those years basically just purely cosmetic changes. No modern day Rolex could be classed as rare yes some are made in smaller numbers but rare no.Although in general most TT watches do not sell in the high volumes as the S.Steel models both the 16613 and 16600 were popular watches over the production decades my favorite sports model is the 16600.
My estimate 200000 16600 and 220000 16613

It really seems to be such a small number though. Any estimates on the number of subs made in the same time period?
