One of my favorite brands - Part 2

The Zenith El Primero.
Might be the most famous chronograph movement in the world.
Made since 1969 and the first to measure 1/10th of a second. Used by several other brands like Rolex, Panerai, Daniel Roth, Parmigiani, ...

And it still is one of the best.... maybe the best

Brands who charged much more for their watches, much more than any Zenith with the same movement.

Today they're not offering their movements to Rolex, Panerai, Daniel Roth and Parmigiani anymore.

If you want a legendary top chrono movement , you'll have to buy a Zenith

And why wouldn't you ??
Look at their price IT IS A BARGAIN TODAY
You'll find them starting at 5500 / 6000 euro. And now look at the competitors. So brands in the same league with an inhouse chronograph movement.
Think about the Rolex Daytona, a few chrnographs from IWC, JLC chrono's like the Squadra or others, Panerai inhouse chronographs,
Breguets type XXI (I know most Breguets are a step above Zenith but imo only when you take their classic dresswatches, their cheaper
sportsline is not that great nor well finished )

Any of these competitors are 50% till somethimes 100% more expensive !!!

Like said a bargain and a must have

I'm sure when Mr Dufour puts Zenith back on the right track these 'bargains' will be history. there is not one single reason why the shouldn't
be as expensive as the other brands. Probably this is temporary and part of the marketing strategy.
Years ago Mr Nataf messed up the brand with the ugly Defy line and Zenith lost clients. Today with MR Dufour they offer some amazing pieces and sooner
or later they will be famous again. They're opening Zenith boutiques so not only collectors like us but also the uninformed watch buyers will discover them once again.

Now, the wacht I took pics of is one of the 'open dial series' some like it and others don't.
To be honest, it is not my favorite but I want to show it anyway. If you prefer non open dials, there are more than enough choices in the El Primero chonograph watches
