I can't believe I spent......

over 500.00 for Flyers playoff tix for 2 this coming Sat! The seats are good; we are 5 rows up (Sec. 115).
My 9 yr. old son is a HUGE Flyers fan (which is ok with me, but then again, I'm a diehard Rangers fan). He's been following the Flyers all season. I mean, the kid won't go out to play with his friends on weekends when the Flyers are playing either Sat or Sun.
Anyways, he's celebrating his communion this month. We are going to throw him a big bash. As our present to him, I'm running over to Sports Authority tomorrow to pick up a Hartnell jersey. His mom will gift-wrap it with the tix in the jersey.
Wish us luck fellows! Hope he loves it!!!!

Joe--enjoy the game! I am sure you guys will have a blast. What a great gift too!! Sorry but we will be rooting against them as Pens fans. Should be a tough match up as always!

Thank you Sir! It's going to be a physical battle. You guys have Crosby back in the lineup.

You only live once, enjoy the game

Quick story, I once paid $1,000 for a NY Rangers vs Florida Panthers playoff game. It was worth it, I saw the 'great one - #99" score a hat trick.

It was April of 1997, it was electric

Nice, playoff hockey is the best. Actually Joe, Eric Wellwood is one of my closest friends, I hang out with him a few times a week in the offseason. If you want an autographed picture for your son or anything like that send me a PM it wouldn't be a problem at all.

Lol, give Eric a chance, in a few years he'll be a good one. Yes, I played hockey but after my third shoulder surgery at age 17 I decided to give it up and focus on getting a good education. Several friends and former teammates are now in the NHL, which is pretty cool.

Can't put a price on memories, especially good ones...

There are some great first round match ups this year, Philly Pittsburgh should be a brutal battle, and I think the Boston Washington series is going to a grinder too. Should be fun!!

Oh boy, the former teammates list would be incredibly long. I played on some all-star summer teams with guys like Logan Couture, Drew Doughty, Sam Gagner, and a bunch of others back in Midget hockey (14 years old). Thats going pretty far back, though.

One of my best friends, talk to him almost daily, is Adam Henrique of the NJ Devils. He had a great season this year and is going to be a star IMO. Eric Wellwood on the flyers, Greg Nemisz from the Calgary Flames are also very close friends. I hang out with Taylor Hall occasionally and know him pretty well. Obviously, I know Kyle Wellwood through his brother, also know Matt Martin on the Islanders pretty well. I know a lot of other players on a first name basis, but those are the ones I actually talk to and have friendships with.

Don't really have a team. I grew up rooting for the Wings but became indifferent to cheering for certain teams as I got older. I just like to watch good hockey with great players. Really looking forward to Flyers- Pens, it has everything a hockey fan could want in a series.

That's very nice of you Kareem. I just might take you up on that offer. I know my son would love that. He knows these players more than I do. God forbid I miss a goal on television...he'll rewind it for me! He's definitely a good kid.
