2002 gmt

I just bought my first pre-owned Rolex from a reputable dealer in Boston and have a question regarding said watch. It is a 2002 GMT ll (TT). Is the stem on this watch smaller than the newer GMT's. I have three Subs (SS, TT AND 18K) and all have much larger stems. The GMT is in pristine condition and a nice change from the subs. Even after shopping for a nice pre-owned GMT for a year I was paranoid about ending up with a fake and the reason for my stem question.
Thanks
