Just left my local Cash Converters

Had to snap a photo of my new pickup, TT GMT Master w. after market bezel and 14k gold ring with 4.5cts of baguette and princess cut diamonds

I see everyone posting their amazing collections, I'm just getting started, will post pics of the rest of my collection soon !

92 views and no comments ? lets get some feedback, I'm second guessing my purchase, considering bringing the GMT back for a WG DD that they have available today for $650 more

I think the GMT looks amazing! I'm not a fan of aftermarket parts on watches but this green bezel looks quite good indeed.

As for the ring, I love to wear some but it isn't really my style, I would consider trading it for a Day-Date as well (and perhaps add some cash if it's not enough to pay for it). Don't get me wrong, if you like it then by all means wear it in great health but I personally prefer rings that are a bit smaller.

I agree, this is honestly what I woke up today thinking about, the ring looked very nice in the case, but I don't like the inconsistency of the quality of diamonds. It cost me $2500, so if I bring it back and get the Day-Date it'll run me an extra $3600, however after doing some research I think it would be the best investment in the long run

Looks neat! I think the WG DD would be a better investment for future flipping? Considering that not many people would buy a 116713 with an aftermarket bezel.

I might be the first to say this, but the watch looks 100% aftermarket....Not just the insert!!
Some closer and clearer pics would help, but it does not look good....

This comment of $650 more for a WG DD has me skeptical as well.
Wherever you are shopping, I'd suggest you re-think!

Until clearer pics of the watch are posted, this thread now sits in the 'watchout section'.

thank you for bringing this up, I had quite the blowup with the manager today after a visit from a friend who is quite the Rolex collector informing me that it does not appear to be authentic. I went back to the store and asked how they authenticate their watches, they advised me that they are "product experts" and that the markings match and that the serial numbers indicate that it is a real Rolex. I asked them to remove the back of the watch so that I could see the movement and they advised me that they don't have the tools to open the back of the watch, how can they sell Rolex watches and their not even able to get the backs off ?

Safe to say I got my money back and will NOT be purchasing the Day-Date that they have, I still have the ring however, though I was so mad I wanted to return that too...I'm quite deflated, still want a Rolex, guess I'll pay a visit to an official dealer !

well considering this is a ROLEX forum, and I bought my first ROLEX earlier this week, I don't see what's weird about that ?

i agree it looks like a green hand and definetely green writing on the dial, this is period incorrect, because it would then have a ceramic bezel which you certainly would not swap for a aluminium green bezel insert, the dial msut be refinished and hands therefore must be aftermarket in my opinion, although as stated you cannot see the watch in detail in these photos.

Try to contact one of the trusted sellers on here and tell them what model you'd like to buy, if you prefer brand new or pre-owned, etc. I'm sure you'll get taken care of in a professional manner and enjoy the experience.

Send me a PM if you like.

Yes without a doubt that is a FOLEX IMO, glad you took it back... Nothing looks right on it at all to me.

As the old saying goes... If it seems to good to be true it probably is... This is certainly the case here.

You might want to get a second opinion on those diamonds in the ring- if he's willing to sell you a fauxlex, I would just be sure

I would sell a ring of that quality for ~$800.00. You got taken on both accounts. You need to find a new place to shop IMHO.
