Happy Easter and enjoy the lamb.

My grandpap used to roast lamb at the farm and invite EVERYONE.

Alethos Anesti!

Going to our favorite Greek restaurant for late lunch today. They put on a great, traditional, Greek Easter feast...and no clean up at home

Pics with dinner will be posted later

Went to one of our favorite Greek restaurants for Greek Easter lunch/dinner. Its always nice to walk into a place and they come up to you and greet you like family...

We had: Tzatziki, Htipiti, Lamb, Keftedes, Manestra, Galotoboutiko, and baklava with Chocolate sauce on top...finished off with Cafe Metrios

Mieka's toys needed to be included in the pic...

Cafe Metrios and an LV...

Yia Yia and Mieka...

My little sunshine...

Was hoping they would make Loukomathis but no luck today...guess Yia Yia will have to make me a batch

Alithos Anesti kai Oti pothis file.

I wish I was in Greece for Easter... Beautiful weather, awesome food and especially the taste of a local lamb cooked to perfection that can not be beat!

On Chios, we do loukoumathes on August 15th.
I say three way tie: along with bougatsa & galatoumboreko.

Do you make your coffee at home on the stove or has someone invented a Greek coffee making machine?

Yep at home, Christiaan but not at the stove. A simple camping gas will do the job just fine

I passed an elementary school the other day and the sign outside said, "Happy Vernal Holiday" and gave the dates the school would be closed.

That was a totally new one to me, although I am aware that the vernal equinox occurs in close proximity to Easter.
