Ok guys short and sweet A DeepSea-Dweller or the new 42mm Explorer II
My one and only concern is the bracelet on the DeepSea being too narrow at the lug end. If anyone would have both and had photos I would love to see the comparison shots.

The DSSD is my favorite watch, but I think it is best when part of a collection, because it is probably not as versatile as the Exp II. I would choose the DSSD, but it sounds like you should be leaning toward the Exp II...

Great to see you're loving that DSSD Charles

I recently tried on both at an AD, my vote is for ExpII white dial. Very classy.

I have a DSSD and not the biggest ExpII fan but after 3+ years daily wear from my DSSD it stopped doing it for me. If I had to choose between those I think the Exp is a much better daily wearer. I've tried it on a few times and while it never really sung to me it's a big improvement over the 40mm version. Feels much more balanced on the wrist. Its starting to grow on me a bit over the last year plus.

Personally I don't think either is a great (or even good) single watch choice. Both are great peices but belong in a multi watch collection.

Thanks Dalip...I am really loving it. I truly appreciate all of your advice that got me to finally take the leap. The DSSD is a very special watch.

SPOILER ALERT: With regards to the ExpII 42 (Black Dial) I may have more to say about comparing the two watches after the FedEx truck leaves my house tomorrow morning!!!

BTW: Dalip...I LOVE that YG Daytona on you. It looks absolutely amazing.

I have noticed that too! My LVC looked like a PP Calatrava this morning for the first hour or so on the wrist.

DSSD all the way. Last few visits to the AD kinda blocked mentally Milgauss & Explorer II I feel they lack some spunk but would be ok for an everyday low key watch. Though as you know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that being said the salesman at Rolex Boutique NYC was sporting a DSSD the other day. Good Luck with your decision and make sure you see and try on both and get the one that smiles at you even if it takes a few visits.
